History
The
company was founded in 1912 in Luxemburg by the engineer
August Stemmann. In the first years they dealt with
the production of power supply for movable machines,
especially for cranes in steel- and smelting works.
Later they dealt with slipring assemblies for rotating
machines and pantograph systems for railway vehicles.
Supported by creativity in
development, customer-oriented
view of quality and reliable production
technologies the business segments of the company were
expanded since the mid of the 1980s.
Today,
in the industry- and transportation-sector Stemmann-Technik
is one of the world-wide leading manufacturers for
components and systems for energy- and data transfer,
organised and certified acc. to the international standard
DIN ISO 9001:2000.
Meanwhile Stemmann-Technik
GmbH completely belongs to the Fandstan
Electric Group, London, UK ? a holding
company. The Fandstan Electric Group is
an independent, private group of companies
in the range of electrical engineering
with affiliated companies in Great Britain,
Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Australia,
France and the USA.
