The DSA380 in use on the ICE 3
One
of the pantographs developed on the basis of the DSA350SEK is the DSA380D.
Designed for speeds of up to 330 km/h, it is used in AC-networks with
15/25 kV for currents of up to 1000 A. Currently, the DB AG and the Dutch
NS are operating ICE-3-multi system-vehicles by means of the DSA380D
resp. DSA380G for the application within the Dutch DC-network. The operation
is effected in single- as well as in double-traction, which was enabled
by the small mass of the collector head and the dynamical characteristics
of the pantograph resulting from this.
Combined with a special kinematics the DSA380D is able to also comply with the
requirements of old overhead line-networks with extreme changes in height, besides
the modern high speed-tracks with continuous catenary wire-height.
The DSA200.03 in use in the Scandinavian project OUT
The pantograph DSA200.03 is a single-arm pantograph which
is installed on the Contessa-trains of the Oeresund Train Units-project.

Due to its geometry of collector head and the
electrical characteristics the pantograph DSA200.03
can be used within the network of the DB, DSB SJ and the ÖBB. By
the interaction of the elastic collector head with small masses the pantograph
has fulfilled the requirements in quintuple traction at a speed of 180
km/h.
The DSA200 in use for DB Regio on the traction units of the series BR423 and BR426
With a modified material combination compared to the high
speed-pantograph DSA350SEK the DSA200 meets the requirements of a high
performance-pantograph for speeds of up 160 km/h resp. 200 km/h.
