Local traffic-series
Roof-mounted
pantographs of the Fb700-family are a special, modular platform for the
local traffic, available in sizes 3, 3.3 and 3.8 m. These pantographs
of the third generation are equipped with ball bearings with integrated
roller bearings. The number of the bearing places was reduced just as
the number of the other individual parts. Assembly and disassembly are
oriented for the replacement of complete components with only few interfaces
and lead to comparatively low life cycle costs.
For
supporting the easy maintenance it has been deliberately observed that
no special tools are needed. The upper strut arms are made of drawn profile-tubes.
The spindle drive is combined with a wiring housing. The roof-passage
for the emergency operation upon request can be equipped with a switch,
which cuts the drive off the current supply by means of the hand crank.
Optionally, an automatic lowering system can be added in case the collector
head is overloaded.
