Projects in Optic Rotary Connectors
Huge
volume of data which has to be transferred interference-proof and fail-safe,
led to the development of a contact-free rotary
connector.
The advantage of the rotary connector developed by
STEMMANN-TECHNIK is that this system operates with a „real picture“.
With
this unique method there are installed only optical components
in the connector. This grants an almost unlimited
interference immunity. The transmitter - and reception electronics
are installed in EMC-safe steel-sheet housings.
This way of transmission allows manufacture tolerances up to millimetres, conventional devices are provided with adjustment accuracies within the µ-metre range.
The system allows nearly every
diameter of the transfer optics, thus free borings and modification
of shafts and columns are
possible.
This is a convenient and wear-resistant working system.
